In case anyone is interested, I've attached a link to an article below. It is from 2004, and in it, Charles Shaw deals with a few of the issues we've discussed in class, mainly the physicality of infrastructure and questions of place within electronic networks. It is basically about Chicago's push to become the central hub in global knowledge circuits. A quick but interesting read.
